Academic interest

I'd also like us to use this as a way of sharing useful course related info such as interesting papers, links to conferences, ideas you've had, etc. So attach anything of this nature as well. When I get some more time I will attempt to set up a wiki linked to this blog to make this easier but just use the blog for now.

Holidays, Weddings, Births ...anything else

Post your photos of events such as weddings, holidays etc. You can either put a few photos directly on the blog or put a link to more of them on some kind of web photo sharing site such as Flickr or Photobucket etc. Here's a nice one taken in Kerala, South India, 10 years ago now, at the elephant fair. The two others are taken from a walking holiday in the Atlas mountains in Morocco (~7 years ago - getting slowly up to date).

Graduations

I have added a few photos that I had handy here http://www.flickr.com/photos/mscisr/ - there are two sets: Graduations 2005 & 6 and Graduation 2007. If anyone else has some to add please do.

Previous Vienna trips

We travelled to the competition in Vienna twice before, once in 2008 and also in 2006. Above are a few photos from those occasions and here are some on Flickr for the 2006 trip. I will add more to Flickr for 2008 when I have time.

Where are you now?

We would like to keep up to date with everyone that's ever been on the course so add your posts here to tell us what you have been doing.

Robot Challenge, Vienna, 2009

Every year we go to the robot challenge in Vienna. The competition is organised by one of our PhD students, Roland Stelzer, who is based there. Roland is on the left in the photo immediately above with Andreas Huemer, also a DMU PhD student and Dr. Clive Rosen from the University of Derby. The photo at the top left shows Stephen Bull and Pat Fogarty and top right is Chris Rands, all currently on MSc ISR. More photos can be seen here in the Robotics Challenge 2009 set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mscisr/

MSc Intelligent Systems (IS), MSc IS & Robotics

This is the blog for current and past students of MSc Intelligent Systems / MSc Intelligent Systems & Robotics (formerly MSc Computational Intelligence & Robotics) at De Montfort University, UK. The course is delivered by the Centre for Computational Intelligence (CCI) and we are slowly trying to take over the world with our expanding network of people that have knowledge of areas such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, evolutionary algorithms & robotics.
